Fast Lane 04:01
I don’t need saving Your assumptions walk me home I feel your energy shift Through an ocean of cold water I’m in the fast lane Taking over you in the fast lane Don’t need you telling me your regime No need to pretend you care How my weekend’s been I’m in the fast lane Taking over you In the fast lane Do me a favour I don’t need chasing I’m not waiting for your call What are you apologising for? I’ve met you once in total I am a woman You are a boy Just leave me be You make me see red Rid me of the negativity How beautiful to swim without you near me In the dark is where I build my pace How wonderful to move without the fear That you create You create I'm in the fast lane Taking over you In the fast lane Aren’t you seeing your actions ricochet Take responsibility, change Lanes In the fast lane Taking over you In the fast lane Do me a favour Get away

At the bottom of the pile Not the first, won't be the last time I’ve forgotten what was mine, Taken you for granted When I flourish You fade I cherish those moments Cannot strip those away Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Seems I have been ostracized When the company expects, I shrink Cast in your shade You used to be fascinated I am still enchanting I cherish those moments Cannot strip those away Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Can you handle every version Can I accept what I’ve become Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind Don’t let me fall out your mind

I’m so tired Of wanting what I cannot have I sit alone Wonder What it feels like To be you Crying tears into piano keys Is not a shade that suits me well Especially when you are just an image Burning a hole into the palm of my hand I want to be you I want to be you Turn the TV up I’m throwing in the towel Turn the TV up I’m throwing in the towel It ebbs and flows The hope it goes away I’m growing older Having no place Have you been watching me Make my mistakes Learning too late Life’s for sharing In this solitude I’m wasted I want to be you I want to be you Turn the TV up I’m throwing in the towel Turn the TV up I’m throwing in the towel You’re just an image You’re just an image You’re just an image You’re just an image You’re just an image You’re just an image In the palm of my hand burning a hole in the palm of my hand I want to be you I want to be you

Though I've tried before to tell her Of the feelings I have for her in my heart Every time that I come near her I just lose my nerve as I've done from the start Every little thing she does is magic Everything she do just turns me on Even though my life before was tragic Now I know my love for her goes on Do I have to tell the story Of a thousand rainy days since we first met? It's a big enough umbrella But it's always me that ends up getting wet Every little thing she does is magic Everything she do just turns me on Even though my life before was tragic Now I know my love for her goes on I resolved to call her up A thousand times a day And ask her if she'll marry me Some old-fashioned way But my silent fears have gripped me Long before I reach the phone Long before my tongue has tripped me Must I always be alone Every little thing she does is magic Everything she do just turns me on Even though my life before was tragic Now I know my love for her goes on Every little thing she does is magic Everything she do just turns me on Even though my life before was tragic Now I know my love for her goes on

About Love 03:43
This is just too sad It’s best not to talk about it Unimaginable, No words can really capture it I’ll do one like you would do I’ll try to You were singing about love Always singing about love You were singing about love Always singing about love There’s a feeling I can’t shake Like you’re writing this instead of me You’d want it to sound happier I’m trying To do one like you used to But it won’t come as naturally You were singing about love Always singing about love You were singing about love Always singing about love If you can, I hope you hear this It won’t bring or give you any justice But I’m at a loss of what to do I’ll keep singing about love Always singing about love for you I’ll keep singing about love Always singing about love for you I’ll keep singing about love Always singing about love I’ll keep singing about love Always singing about love

about

“As we all know, scrolling through social media and comparing yourself to others who appear to be doing something better than you, can be crippling. It’s not often that I get so low, but when I do, it is hard hitting and without warning. I can’t do much other than drown out my thoughts by watching TV. It seems impossible to find a way out. But, eventually, I turn the telly off, write a song, and make it through to the otherside. These songs fell out of me quite suddenly while hunched over a piano so the EP is raw and honest.”
