About Love

from Turn The TV Up by Sirene

/

about

This song is my brilliant cousin Jamie, who was sadly taken from us too soon. He was driven by the beautiful songs he wrote, and they were on
the whole about love. The week after Jamie died, I sat alone at my family’s piano and this song came out of me in its entirety, just as you hear it in the recording. I felt as if he was in the room with me and we were writing the song together. This song is my promise that Jamie’s positivity and energy will continue in my music, as well as his.

lyrics

This is just too sad
It’s best not to talk about it
Unimaginable,
No words can really capture it

I’ll do one like you would do
I’ll try to

You were singing about love
Always singing about love
You were singing about love
Always singing about love

There’s a feeling I can’t shake
Like you’re writing this instead of me
You’d want it to sound happier
I’m trying

To do one like you used to
But it won’t come as naturally

You were singing about love
Always singing about love
You were singing about love
Always singing about love

If you can, I hope you hear this
It won’t bring or give you any justice
But I’m at a loss of what to do

I’ll keep singing about love
Always singing about love for you
I’ll keep singing about love
Always singing about love for you
I’ll keep singing about love
Always singing about love
I’ll keep singing about love
Always singing about love
